Summer solstice is the perfect time to tune into the rhythms of the natural world and invite the cycles of life to resonate more consciously in our lives. Let’s come together to honor the light within, celebrate the richness of life, and elevate our spirits to manifest our dreams.

Start the day with an open air yoga practice to fill up with invigorating, life giving prana. We will charge our class with sun salutations practiced with Surya Namaskar mantras to deepen our connection to the energies of the sun. Then relax and surrender to all that is, completely supported by the earth beneath you.

We’ll enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal together out in the meadow as the sun reaches its highest point for the day. Lunch will entail a fresh pressed juice and/or spring water, a salad, a vegetarian entree, and a raw vegan dessert. All food served will be organic and locally sourced where possible.

After our meal, we’ll take a meditative walk along the river, taking time to appreciate and honor the natural world around us. Sit quietly and listen to the sounds of nature as you bask in the warmth of the sun on your skin.

Return to the meadow, where we’ll create a beautiful group mandala formed from natural found objects that resonate with your hopes and desires. We will then ritualistically dismantle the mandala and burn the objects in a bonfire to help manifest our dreams.

$75 includes all activities and lunch.

This is the time of the rose, blossom and thorn, fragrance and blood. Now on this longest day, light triumphs, and yet begins the decline into the dark. The Sun King grown embraces the Queen of Summer in the love that is death because it is so complete that all dissolves into the single song of ecstasy that moves the worlds. So the Lord of Light dies to Himself, and sets sail across the dark seas of time, searching for the isle of light that is rebirth. We turn the Wheel and share his fate, for we have planted the seeds of our own changes and to grow we must accept even the passing of the sun. — The Spiral Dance

Please bring a water bottle, a yoga mat, and appropriate footwear for walking. Sketchbooks, journals, cameras, and drawing materials are also welcome on the nature walk.

This event will be held rain or shine. In case of rain, most activities and lunch can be moved to the barn. The nature walk will be replaced by another indoor activity such as a yoga dance, vision boarding session, partner yoga, etc. And we’ll figure out how to make a bonfire work — where there’s a will, there’s always a way!
